Prince Philip

Shouldn't Prince Philip and his siblings be included in the "2nd generation" section of the Template? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ahmad123987 ( talkcontribs) 18:50, 19 September 2010

No, because that is his mother's family. - Talk to you later, Presidentman ( talk) Random Picture of the Day ( Talkback) 20:31, 21 April 2011 (UTC) Reply reply

Prince Philip and House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg

Prince Philip is patrilineally a member of the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, and only adopted the name "Mountbatten" when he became a naturalised British citizen. His mother was a member of the House of Battenberg. I've mentioned this in the footnote regarding Prince Philip. Sotakeit ( talk) 11:57, 4 March 2015 (UTC) Reply reply
